Did You Purchase or Lease a Porsche Macan? If so, you may have a claim for compensation...
The Porsche Macan (originally unveiled in 2013) was made available to the public in late spring 2014. The Macan today represents the best-selling model Porsche has ever sold in the United States. With several variants sold in the North American (the Macan, Macan Sport Edition, Macan S, Macan GTS and the Macan Turbo), Porsche has sold over 107,000 vehicles since 2014. All along, Porsche has claimed that the Macan is “the first sports car among compact SUV’s” as well as stating that the Macan is a low maintenance vehicle with “Long-life and hard-wearing materials reduce maintenance items to a minimum.”
However, in a class action filed in November of 2020, our client has alleged that Porsche Cars North America, Inc. aided and abetted in the commissioning and selling of Porsche Macans in the United States with knowledge of two distinct sets of inherent defects which are present in all Macans, irrespective of trim level or engine size. The complaint alleges that all current and former owners and lessees of the Macan have likely experienced these problems while operating their Macans, even if not aware of it. These defects revolve around engine Leaks and suspension defects which have caused the owners and lessors of Macans to sustain significant economic damages all the while placing the operator, the vehicle, and property in danger of damage and/or injury.
